Lose Weight with Dance

LipoAny motion you can do that gets you moving, gets your heart rate up, and makes you sweat is good for your health and well-being. The most popular or conventional ways to lose weight, are by running or jogging, doing aerobics, swimming or more recently, high intensity interval training (or HIIT) workouts. Although these are all great ways to get fit and healthy, there’s one way to exercise that spans way back to ancient times - you probably wouldn’t even consider it a workout, but it’s dancing!

Dancing is often associated with celebrations, festivals or special occasions. You rarely realize how much exercise you are getting in while you’re out on the dance floor, moving to the music. In North America, Zumba classes have taken the exercise classes by storm. Instilling a sense of community in it’s participants, it’s a great way to combine dance and aerobic exercise to get a pretty incredible workout, while listening to upbeat music and grooving to the beat.

Other countries have picked up on this trend too - in France, ballet lessons are popular among young and old alike. Although ballet can sometimes be (depending on your skill level) a lower intensity workout, other kinds of dancing can be a serious way to work up sweat. In the summertime, tennis or beach volleyball is very popular in many areas of France.

Lipo SucessIn Italy, vigorous dancing is part of many exercise regimes. Home to many professional dancers, the competition can be tough. Many professional dancers use a weight loss supplement, Lipo 13, to keep their weight down while eating a typical Italian diet, heavy on meat and pasta. A steady regimen of{Lipo 13}coupled with their daily dancing is an easy and enjoyable way to lose weight while not spending hours of each day glued to a treadmill.

In many countries that have tons of water that can generate awesome waves, surfing is an activity that combines fitness, with skill and agility. Although it’s not for everyone, there is no denying that surfing is a full body workout that can get serious weight loss results, while toning and sculpting a lean body.

Depending on where you live, you may have popular activities that are dependant on the weather (for example, if you live in an area with cold enough winters, you may be an avid skier. If you live in a tropical climate, you may stay trim by swimming). It does seem though, that no matter where you are in the world, combining a fun activity, whether it be team oriented or a solo endeavour, with your workout is the more enjoyable choice.

If you’re looking to get in shape or lose weight, consider taking a group class with others, taking up a team sport (indoor or outdoor), joining a swim team or even starting up a running club. Being social with others will keep you looking forward to your workout sessions. The more important thing is to work up a sweat, get your heart rate up, and have fun!
